What better way to start 2015 than with royalty in your homes..
If sources are to be believed it is said that the Royal Blue was invented by millers in Rode, Somerset, a group which were the winners in a dress making competition for the British Queen, Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
Many of us would be confused with the exact shade of colour of royal blue. In common knowledge royal blue would be a deep to dark blue often with a tinge of purple to it. But the easiest way to remember the shade would be by that of ‘ink’. Royal Blue is the traditional colour of writing ink, employed by many fountain pens, ballpoint pens and ink cartridges.
Light or dark, we all would love to have a piece of the royal shade in our homes!
