If sources are to be believed it is said that the Royal Blue was invented by millers in Rode, Somerset, a group which were the winners in a dress making competition for the British Queen, Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
Many of us would be confused with the exact shade of colour of royal blue. In common knowledge royal blue would be a deep to dark blue often with a tinge of purple to it.
