Having graduated with M.SC in Biotechnology, I was working with CDSCO (Central Drug Standard & Control Organization), Ministry of Health, but then I resigned from my blooming career to devote my time to my family. My hobbies, which include cooking, music and dress designing, became my everyday life. Listening to music while cooking and designing outfits for my naughty 5 year old is my typical day activities.
When we talk about My Home story, I would like to quote Maya Angelou who said “The ache for home lives in all of us. The safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned”. So is my home a place where all my worries cease and I find myself together with my loved ones. Making my “house” to my “home” was and is a very beautiful journey. It is a continuous process and we picked up a lot of stuff while travelling or by extensive research. Our home has been designed completely by ourselves (i.e. my husband & me) but the ‘puja room’ in particular has my impression. The room is situated right next to the entrance, so whenever you are back home, I believe, it charges you with positivity. Another place which I totally love is my green balcony, which is like an open green room, and with every chance I get I keep on adding plants and veggies around. Being around natural greenery is so therapeutic. Even while hanging out in my drawing room (which I do a lot), while reading or spending time with the family, it gives a great view and makes you feel so calm just looking at the greenery of the plants.
My whole house is my oasis and the changes in the terms of decoration are quite constant, especially in my son’s room. As he grows, I keep changing the furniture as per his need and choices.
Apart from all this, I am a travel enthusiast and always on the lookout for an opportunity to travel with my family and loved ones. I live my life as Rumi said “what u seek, is seeking you”. So I live the moment to the fullest and stay blessed.
