British beauty giant The Bodyshop evokes a sense of reliance and confidence for the millennial women who epitomizes bold and beautiful. The beauty brand has been bestowing generations after generations with products that are high-on quality, value-for-money and also cruelty-free! Being a Bodyshop loyalist, I swear by their tea tree oil that weaves magic by replenishing acne-ruined skin and their strawberry flavoured shower gel that leaves a sweet edible perfume lingering on the body after a shower and not to forget their highly rated lip balm that comes in a tub format and ensures that your lips stay hydrated and supple for the longest period.
And now moving on to the most exciting news, Bodyshop has introduced a string of new products and notably the vibrant limited-edition lip palette and Drops of Youth-youth Liquid Peel to meet the colossal expectations of TBS (The Bodyshop) enthusiasts. But what particularly tugged at my heart strings are the bouquet of matte liquid lipsticks that are very much in vogue this season! Setting the tone for staying spiffy, these liquid lipsticks have been manufactured in eight eclectic shades. The packaging is like any other liquid lipstick so you have nothing much happening there! However what caught my attention were the names of the lipstick shades – 30 Crete Carnation, 22 Paris Peony, 24 Tokyo Lotus, 26 Goa Magnolia, 10 Cali Gerbera, 14 Sydney Amaryllis and 16 Tahiti Hibiscus.
This creamy matte formula is in sync with the latest trend and touted to be a saviour for the contemporary woman whose heart beats for bold matte shades. The applicator ensures that it is easy to glide on the lips and it concludes with a comfortable matte finish. The highlights of these liquid lipsticks are that they are highly-pigmented and not drying which means that you can wave a goodbye to chapped lips!
A price of Rs 695 indicates that it’s in the drugstore range and keeping in mind the price, the lasting power is pretty decent. However, if you are planning to gorge on food then you probably have to go for a second touch-up. The colours are vivid and promise to place you at the centre of everyone’s attention! If I were you I would have vouched for these lip goodies for after dusk activities as during the day time in summers, bold lips are a bit OTT for me.
P.S. I lost my heart to Tokyo Lotus and Goa Magnolia. What about you my fashionistas? Do keep me updated and till then don’t shy away from going bold with TBS lip liquid mattes!
