Mithila says she belonged to a conventional Marathi Middle-class family. While her grandmother and parents approved of her decision to step into the entertainment industry, her grandfather was not happy with this.

He wasn’t of the opinion to let Mithila take up acting as a full-time profession. Nevertheless, convincing her grandfather to agree with her decision required substantial negotiation and effort.

Mithila gave her first audition at Quasar Theatre Productions (QTP). She didn’t get a role through her audition yet Quasar gave her a backstage job to manage their Thespo theatre festival.
