After PeeCee and DeePee, We wish we could say that the next Bollywood belle to conquer Hollywood would be our pampered fashion queen, Sonam Kapoor, but alas we cannot.
Admittedly, she has been featured in Coldplay’s new “Hymn for the Weekend” video along with Beyoncé that was released on Friday (Jan. 29). But while we have Beyoncé in every next shot of the video, dressed up as a Bollywood star (we weren’t impressed), Sonam appears only for a few seconds towards the end of the video. And here we were thinking that it would have had Sonam playing the role of the obvious. The makers, who tried their best to showcase India as an exotic destination, failed to do so. The same old concept of urchins and colors being played, with ganges in the background, trying to show the rustic side of India has become a cliché now. Don’t you think?
Wonder how Sonam agreed to star in it, with such a miss ‘n’ blink appearance? What’s worth mentioning is the styling of SK, which didn’t disappoint us, and she looked stunning in Mayyur R Girotra Couture. The nose ring looked very hot with the big dangling earrings, maan-tika (maang-tikka) and the colourful lehenga.
As the song goes…
Got me feeling drunk and high
So high, so high
I oh, I oh, I oh
Now I’m feeling drunk and high
So high, so high
Woo!
But it left the viewers anything but high! What say you?
