One of the most famous in Bangalore is a Microbrewery , Toit, destined in Indiranagar that has created a buzz like no other restaurant. With an eclectic taste in music and beautiful Décor, this restaurant is becoming one of Bangalore’s favorites. With an endless variety of beer, and young artists performing constantly, people at Toit guarantee that a night out to this brew pub is bound to be memorable. They offer an exquisite ambiance, just like that of a Manhattan pub combined with a microbrewery along with some amazing light music on weekdays and some energetic DJ performances and lightshows on weekends all under one roof. The wonderfully stylish décor with brown wooden interiors and a view of huge microbrewery is a treat to the eyes. The décor has warm elements like brick walls, soft lighting, wooden flooring and furniture. Adding onto the poised decor, we have our walls styled in movies, music and sports posters along with some comic posters. With two levels, the ground level at Toit has a non-smoking seating along with a special section for your four-legged buddies, and the first floor has multiple sitting equipped with a smoking arena.

Toit is not known for fine dining or fancy food. What they offer is real good soul food. Be it the Sea food Pizza, all meat pizza, Paprika to oriental or baked potato wedges to nachos with a Mexican twist, the food enthusiasts can never gain satisfaction in just one serve.

Toit believes in passing their passion for freshly brewed beer to others, and spreading Benjamin Franklin’s message that “ Beer is the proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy”. Toit promises some mind blowing beers giving a supreme brewing culture experience. From British to Belgian to Irish, you will find every kind. With so many options, Toit provides you with testers at a modest price of INR 200 and you can pick your favorite drink. Some favorites like Tintin Toit, Toit Weiss, Toit Red, and Dark Knight have gained immense popularity. Beer is common to every restaurant or pub you visit but what makes beer at Toit different is that apart from all the essential ingredients, their beers have an add on i.e. heart. Toit uses its funds to carry out some worthy initiatives that they are passionate about. Toit was one of the associates for the Terry Fox Run that was successfully conducted in 2012 in Bangalore. Toit also supports Global Vision helping the needy cancer patients. Toit has also worked with the NGO “Place for Change”in December 2012 to provide some funds used to purchase gifts for underprivileged kids. Toit also contributes to the Go Sports Foundation that inspires the underprivileged kids to recognize their sports dreams. Toit has won our hearts by committing to organizations like Animal Rescue Foundations which work towards rescuing abandoned/sick animals. Toit has also made a great impact of Don’t Drink and Drive among the youth by providing jackets to traffic cops with a Don’t Drink and Drive message on their backs. Soul had an opportunity to speak to Mr. Sibi Venkataraju, co-founder of Toit and he gave us an insight of the restaurant.

“Our space is a microbrewery, which makes hand crafted beers. Beer is perceived to be a casual, social drink so we complement that with casual pub food. Our quality and consistency makes us outstand all other restaurants in Bangalore. We do not compromise on our performance and are head strong on giving each of our guest a stunning experience, each time they visit us. The multi-level in our infrastructure is open, yet connected making the space both expansive and warm. A commendable job done by the architect. To take the challenge of joining two former bungalows into one large contiguous space was anything but easy. And to coordinate it with elegance and grandeur, surely deserves the architect a standing ovation. Attracting all genre of crowd makes us attain a sense of satisfaction and we aim to maintain the same credibility that we have accomplished up till now ”.
