Soul Success Mantra with Shraddha Musale!
It’s not every day that one of the lead characters of the famous crime solving TV show CID, the serious looking Senior Inspector, Abhijeet, is nervous and at the same time excited (quite unlike him actually). But why won’t he? He is going out on a date with the curly haired dusky beauty, Dr. Tarika, aka Shraddha (her curls were in b-town long before Kangana’s). Talk about beauty with brains, eh!
Yes, today in Soul Success Mantra, we talk to the former Femina Miss India Finalist, Shraddha Musale, the actress-cum-model who has been around for a very long time. Her typical day is as hectic as one can imagine. But when she is not busy shooting for her serials or shows, she is a fun-loving, chilled out individual. On any given chance, she flies down to meet her parents, loves spending time with her family, is an animal lover and take life as it comes. ‘I find happiness in simple things’ says Shraddha.
SOUL: Tell us about your journey into Modelling and Indian Telly?
SM: Well as you know I was a Femina Miss India finalist. The event introduced me to the world of fashion, glamour and modelling; and I quite loved it. After finishing my education in Mass Media, I started my career as a ramp model. I did multiple ramp shows and continued doing product shoots. From the very beginning I had penchant and inclination toward the big screen, it fascinated me. I began to see myself as an actor – that was the inception. I joined ‘theatre’, did a couple of plays and subsequently got my first TV show!
SOUL: Has the Indian Television changed from the past times?
SM: Indian TV has changed immensely over the years. Earlier there were a closed group of actors playing parts across channels and shows, while today there is no dearth of new faces and there is cornucopia of talent. There are numerous new production houses and a lot of experimentation happening – these are exciting times for new and upcoming actors. You will find all genres these days across all the channels.
SOUL: What’s your style mantra?
SM: Elegance and comfort matters to me the most. At 5′ 10″, I like to dress in clothes that bring out the beauty in my height.
SOUL: Designers that you love?
SM: Avinash Tomar, Raghuvendra Rathore and Narendra Kumar Ahmed are my favorite designers.
SOUL: According to you what are the must have ‘accessories’ for this winter?
SM: Jackets, boots and stole are must have this winter and every winter as a matter of fact. There are so many colors, patterns and materials available these days that you can have a new one every day for each day of the winter.
SOUL: Parfum Préféré?
SM: I would like to quote Christian Dior here, “A woman’s perfume tells more about her than her handwriting.” I usually wear Issey Miyake, Gucci & Burberry depending on the time of the day or night.
SOUL: Television has become as glamorous as Bollywood these days. In fact more so, as they go on for a long period of time and celebrate all the events and festivals happening as the year goes by. Tell us who’s the most preferred designer in the television industry?
SM: It may surprise you, but, generally we don’t have designers in the television industry. However, if I talk about my personal choice, I would love to be styled by Anaita Shroff Adjania( she recently designed for Deepika Padukone in the movie Tamasha). Ritu Deora also has a good range.
SOUL: Your future projects?
SM: I am associated with an upcoming designer brand – I am the face of the brand “Avinash Tomar”. Apart from this I have my hands full with shows, modelling and tele.
SOUL: Soul Success Mantra?
SM: Think about it, believe in it, ’n you shall have it.
And SOUL totally agrees with Shraddha. Indeed you shall have it, if you have the courage to dream, have faith in your dream and work hard towards your dream!
