Bollywood to Hollywood – Part Deux!

The trend of our homegrown actors’ journey from Bollywood to Hollywood continues with Deepika Padukone. DP, who just won the prestigious black lady of The Filmfare Awards (which are also known as ‘The Oscars of India’) for Best Actress, is gearing herself up for her Hollywood debut and is leaving no stone unturned. She will be seen with the Hollywood biggies like Vin Diesel and Samuel L Jackson in the DJ Caruso-directed action thriller ‘XXX: The Return of Xander Cage’, which is the third installment of the “XXX” franchise. Deepika will be joining the cast of XXX in February this year. The 30-year-old star is working hard for her role and Bollywood star trainer Yasmin Karachiwala (who has trained Katrina and Deepika in the past) is helping her to get that perfect body, not that she doesn’t have one already.

Last year, on the 4^th of December, Deepika had posted a rather mysterious photo with Vin Diesel that could have been announcing her big Hollywood debut, as not too long ago DP was offered a significant role in Fast And Furious 7. However, she had declined it because she picked promoting Ramleela over the film at the time. DP went on record to say that she doesn’t regret losing out on Furious 7, but her fans were very sad about her decision. But now, they all have a reason to rejoice because they will be able to see the leggy Indian beauty flaunting her ethnicity and charms in Hollywood. “I am very excited. But I want to confess that I am very nervous. Most importantly, I feel proud to be a part of a film where I get to flaunt my ethnicity,” Deepika had said earlier in an interview.
