Review:
.
Yet again Netflix had proved that they are coming hard with their own original movies and with Triple Frontier they had made this very obvious. JC Chandor had never failed to amaze with its stories and movies and again with Triple Frontier he was able to do so.
.
After retiring from US special forces Davis (Ben Affleck), William (Charlie Hunam), Ben Miller (Garrett Hedlund) and Francisco (Pedro Pascal) were leading a very ordinary life were Davis (Ben Affleck) was struggling with his life in terms of taking care of her daughter and her education, whereas William (Charlie Hunam) and his brother Ben Miller (Garrett Hedlund) where in a different profession altogether.
.
So, the turning point came in their life when their former colleague Santiago (Oscar Issac) who was working as a military adviser in Colombia got a tip about the presence of a drug lord name Lorea who was hiding in a jungle with a large sum of cash. Then it revolves around how they planned to get into the house and kill the criminal and take away his money, but interesting part came when they were trapped with a lot of difficulties while escaping with the money.
.
With the element of emotions, action and thriller the movie served as a good pastime, however there was more expectation. Netflix in recent times are coming with some good movies and they are not failing to amaze people as well, hiring some famous names like Ben Affleck, Pedro Pascal who are famous for there roles in Batman and Narcos (Tv series) respectively was a great move.
.
Bringing Charlie Hunnam in the movie was a great choice and specially in this kind of movies where he has to serve as special force operator. Ben Affleck as usual was stunning with his performance and whenever it comes to serious roles this guy never failed to amaze his audience. When it comes to roles where you have to serve as an anti-drug mafia guy Pedro Pascal is the person and yet again, he was able to prove it. Apart from acting the set selection was really good, using of natural jungle like setting was a great to show the element of Colombia, sound and costume was good to a large extent.
.
The movie is a great for a pastime, not much is present in the movie in terms of storyline, though the story was little similar to few other movies but still. J.C Chandor for 2hrs and 5m was able to give almost equal time to all the elements in the movie that’s the good part of the movie, but there were parts were movie was dragging a bit.
.
However, with few drawbacks, theywere still able to make the movie as realistic as possible specially in their action sequences. The movie is very much focused towards the young generation, so if you are planning to watch it with your parents then I believe its not a great movie to watch with them, only if your parents were from military background then they might enjoy itbut again not on a greater extent. Due to excessive violence children below the age of 12 should avoid watching this. If you are planning for a weekend hangout with your friends and wanted to watch something then this movie will be a good choice.
