India sure is making the first move, it seems, in fashion industry. After we finished with our Lakme Fashion Week 2015, the 1st of the “Big Four” fashion weeks started taking place, starting from New York then London followed by Milan and ending with the Paris Fashion Week. And so long until next year when it will be time to preview the next season’s collection.
Currently fashion enthusiasts and fans are previewing the hottest fashion for Spring 2016 in the Milan the capital of Fashion Week, were Roberto Cavalli, Gucci, Fendi, Pucci, Prada, Moschino and Uma Wang, to name a few, are among the designers descending on Milan to show off their latest creations.
Some of the new designers, like Massimo Giorgetti from Emilio Pucci, will be making their debut runway show on Sunday. Other designers to look out for are Peter Dundas of Roberto Cavalli, Daizy Shely of Giorgio Armani and the American designer, Jeremy Scott, who will be presenting his new collection for Italian fashion house Moschino, of which he is the creative head designer. He had previously showcased his eponymous label at the New York Fashion Week with a lot of positive feedbacks.
Phew! Yes, the line-up of designers and fashion houses is overwhelmingly Italian, and why won’t it be, after all its reflecting Milan’s pride in its status as the country’s capital of fashion.
