Victoria’s Secret’s first ever swim wear fashion show in Puerto Rico is slated to take place on the February 26, Thursday. The Victoria’s Secret Swim Special is officially happening then and will be aired on CBS. The VS Angels Candice, Adriana, Alessandra etc are all ready to take the heat up a notch this summer. Puerto Rican beaches and jungles will be where the models will do their catwalks wearing mini bikinis. Also featuring will be musical performances by Maroon 5 and Colombia’s Juane. The anticipation of the fashion show has been mounting everyday with everyone waiting eagerly for the grand show to kick-off in style.

Celebrity Sister Duo to have their own clothes line!
Recently to join the list of actress turned designer is none other than our own Bollywood Fashionista Sonam Kapoor and her Producer sister Rhea Kapoor.
She recently took to twitter to announce the news that she along with her sister are going to launch a high street fashion brand under the label “RHESON” which is a combination of both of their names but phonetically is pronounced as “reason”. Sonam Kapoor who has always been in the news for her fashion sense (rather than her movies) has been a muse to many of the leading designers. Her movie Aisha is considered one of the most stylish movies in terms of costumes and styling. Incidentally, it is her producer sister who has a better style eye when it comes to western clothing.
From what we gather, Rheson will have indo-western theme and mix-n-match collection i.e. individual pieces like skirts, tee’s, tops that can be mixed and matched etc.
In Sonam’ s own words “We wanted to make it fashionable for real girls (whatever she meant by real, huh!) as well as affordable. Along with aspirational it will be something which every girl can wear in their day to day life”. They have partnered with Shoppers Stop to sell their products.
It will be quite interesting to see what the sister-duo has for us considering the fact SONAM KAPOOR is a diva in her own right. She has been spotted smartly dressed in many national as well as international events, most recently the Armani Privé Couture Show.

This is what happened in the recent NYFW on Feb 12 when the platinum-selling, chart-topping artist Kanye West launched his clothing line, Yeezy Season 1, with Adidas. His other half (the famous Kim Kardashian) and sis-in-law Kylie Jenner were seen wearing his creation with élan. Seated in the front row along with her little cherub North West, Kim showed complete support for her husband’s debut clothing line along with a coterie of stars like Rihanna, Cassie, Diddy, Jay Z, and Beyoncé.

Kanye doesn’t like to be called a designer because his eye and vision for fashion goes beyond style. He firmly believes that high fashion is about elitism and separation which he is opposed to. That’s why he has set out to bring affordable style to the people with his clothing line. “So this is very much a Robin Hood approach I have taken to making clothes”, says Kanye. He wants to bring the so-called good life to the masses and he is just about to do that with his clothing line, Yeezy Season 1, which will have the men’s collection played on Kanye’s aesthetic as of late with distressed military inspired garments, vests, knits and a muted color palette of nude, military green, blue-grey and black, while the women’s offering will be comprised primarily of utilitarian looks including sheer leggings and bodysuits.
As Kanye says “I don’t want the clothes to be the life, I want the clothes to help the life.”
Soul congratulates Kanye on the debut of his clothes line and wishes him the same success in fashion as he has had in his music career.

Monochrome Show!
The latest to have a show in NYFS15 was the celebrated designer Vera Wang. Since Monochrome is the hot theme this season (check out Soul’s Monochrome Look-book & Symphonic Monochrome article), Ms Wang had a monochrome theme collection which consisted of elegant stylish black-white gowns, oversized knitted sweaters and simple yet chic evening gowns.
Ms. Wang has been known for chic yet simple style and cuts, with a fondness for dark colors. As quoted by Ms. Wang backstage shortly after her show ‘”I don’t think it’s challenging to make black contemporary”. Other than the stylish collection what created news was the model of the moment, Kendall Jenner, who looked effortlessly stylish when strutting on the catwalk. According to Cle de Peau make-up artist Lucia Pieroni, who was in charge of designing the ideal beauty aesthetic for the show, the look was “all about a fresh radiant face, subtle eyes, and strong brows”.
