Hi you guys, it is the season of awards and our celebs are gearing up to put their best sartorial foot forward. The recently concluded Filmfare awards 2017 red carpet was no exception. So let’s take a look at the 8 best-dressed B-town beauties on the Filmfare awards 2017 red carpet.
Sonam Kapoor – Any best dressed list needs to begin with our favourite resident fashionista of Bollywood. She has already slammed her critics with an honest and memorable performance in Neerja. Similarly, on the sartorial front she continued to hold her crown of being the best-dressed celeb with elan! When it comes to Red Carpet appearances Sonam has always rooted for coruscating couture. Staying true to her signature style she wore a dramatic gown from her go-to Israeli designer Elie Saab. The sheer peplum gown stood out for its cascading trail and white floral embroidery. Her to the point make-up was done by Mitali Vakil which caught my attention for the bold maroon puckers and the chic updo.
Jaqueline Fernandez – This Sri Lankan beauty chose Kuwait-based label Ali Younes couture to mark her sizzling red carpet moment. The one-shouldered profusely bejeweled gown concluded with a sleek hairstyle was befitting for the event. Brownie points to her for carrying the look with so much of grace!
Alia Bhatt – Looks like the ever vivacious Alia Bhatt relayed the baton of weaving fairytale on the Filmare Awards 2017 red carpet just like her Hollywood counterparts at the Golden Globe 2017 Awards. The Dear Zindagi starlet who has bowled the audience with one inspiring performances after another looked resplendent in a custom-made Prabal Gurung beige flouncy gown. She steered clear of jewellery and wore her hair in a school-girl ponytail. On anyone else I would have preferred jewellery to boost the appearance but Ms. Bhatt owned the minimalistic look that she has been doing for some time now with her dazzling dimples!
Swara Bhaskar – She is not a red carpet favourite but on this year’s Filmfare Awards 2017 red carpet, Swara Bhaskar emerged as the dark horse in an ethereal one-of-a-kind gown by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla and jewellery by Ghana Singh and a ring from Renu Oberoi.
Shilpa Shetty – Looks like age is no factor for this towering diva who spelled sultry in a thigh high slit one-shoulder golden gown with ruffled detailing by Manish Malhotra, jewellery by Mehernosh Heeramaneck and pointy heels by Oscar de la Renta. It’s not a silhouette that would have been everyone’s cup of tea but it is to Shilpa Shetty’s credit that she worked the gown. Personally neither the colour nor the cut offered much to write home about!
Kriti Sanon – The actress of Dilwale fame decided to toe sexy with class. She donned a high-slit black embellished fitted gown that complimented her toned frame. She was spotted in Shehla Khan jewellery and wore her hair in a middle-parting kept in place with a hairband. Loved the unkempt tresses that rendered a free-spirit prom-queen appearance.
Sunny Leone – Sunny Leone who has made a niche for herself in Bollywood also features in our best-dressed list. Wearing a blazing red high-neck Swapnil Shinde gown that was in sync with her personality, she ensured that all eyes were on her. The sexy waist cut lines and the front slit made quite a mark. Her choice of outfit for the event reminds me of Kylie Jenner’s school of style!
Parineeti Chopra – Rocking the ‘it’ colour of the season pink, Parineeti Chopra channeled red carpet pulchritude in a Barbie pink Mark Bumgarner ensemble, smoky eyes and coordinated ring and earrings. The off-shoulder gown had a colossal bow detailing which has received ambivalent reviews from the critics. However I am not complaining keeping in mind the red carpet grandeur in question and the poise with which she carried the couture.
