The red was carpet was set for the BET Awards 2016 at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater and it was a fabulous night with some amazing performances and gave us some serious fashion goals. The night saw 5 performances dedicated to Prince, who was no more earlier this year. It also saw the celebrities present at the occasion bring their amazing style sense to the red carpet and they did not disappoint! Have a look at some of the best looks of the night!
⦁ Gabrielle Union sizzled at the BET Awards, dressed in a cranberry and silver one-shouldered Marc Jacobs gown with a thigh-high slit, which she chose to pair up with Jimmy Choo sandals and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
⦁ Yara Shahidi attended the ceremony in a strappy, sequined colorful number from Tracey Reese and looked super pretty in it.
⦁ Chloe and Halle Bailey, the duo behind the famed Chloe x Halle act, were dressed in the most stylishly unexpected way for a red carpet event. Chloe chose to wear a colorful, shimmery asymmetrical Zaldy dress with black, strappy Steiger sandals while Halle donned denims and booties underneath a Zaldy dressed that worked as a top.
⦁ Tracee Ellis Ross rocked a figure-hugging snakeskin-print vintage Thierry Mugler dress from Shrimpton Couture, and complemented the look with Louboutin pumps, Celine jewels and red lips.
⦁ Taraji P. Henson looked hot in a sheer Steven Khalil ensemble, and totally owned the ‘sheer’ trend with her ensemble.
⦁ The gracefully-draped satin ebony Stella McCartney jumpsuit that Alicia Keys wore for the night was drool-worthy and her no-makeup look was quite a change from the usual red carpet looks. Also, special mention for that head-wrap.
⦁ Mya adorned a dramatic bright yellow Christian Siriano outfit which featured a strapless crop top with a cape and paired it with cropped pants making us go ‘Wow’!
⦁ Meagan Good looked super-sizzling in a form-fitting emerald green cut-out silk crepe Lorena Sarbu gown, diamond accessories and red lips.
⦁ Nandi Mngoma was the fashion icon of the night in a stunning black and white dress, which boasted of symmetrical details and a train.
