Valentine’s day is here and we can’t wait to celebrate without valentine. We try to do everything in our power to make Valentine’s Day as special as possible for our loved one. Chef Aman Tandon of Pride Hotel, Pune, has a fantastic recipe for dessert shots that will help you make this year’s Valentine’s day more memorable than ever before! Very Berry Swirl Shots are a lip smacking trilogy of farm fresh, hand picked zingy berries mulled with the goodness of Italian Mascarpone cheese. The tanginess of the berries and marmalade combined with the sugary sweetness and the smoothness of mascaporne cheese is a dream combination indeed! It is best relished as a dessert shot which is one of the latest Dining fundas!
Cooking time – 30 mins
Serves – 10 dessert shots
Ingredients:
250gm mascarpone cheese
1.5 cup heavy cream
1.5cup sugar
1 1/2 cups strawberries
1 cup raspberries
1 cup blueberries
1 cup blackberries
2 tbsp orange marmalade (sweet)
Method:
1. With a whisk or an electric mixer beat together mascarpone, cream, and sugar in a bowl until the mixture holds stiff peaks.
2. Quarter the strawberries and in a large bowl combine with the remaining berries. In a small saucepan, simmer marmalade stirring, until reduced to about 3 tablespoons and pour over berries. With a spatula, gently stir berries to coat evenly. Fold in the mascarpone cream decoratively.
3. Pour the mixture in a piping bag and swirl pipe inside the shot glass. reciope. Chill glasses for 1-2 hrs before serving.
4. Garnish with decorative arcs of chocolate on top of the glass.
This recipe is best served right away and so it’s best to make it on the same day of consuming and not in advance. Enjoy this lip smacking berrylicious dessert with your dear one this year!
