Well you have the dream collaboration of Palestinian beauty and fashion’s ‘it’ girl, supermodel Gigi Hadid, with the American powerhouse brand Tommy Hilfiger!

This collaboration was something that we have been waiting for and it comes as no surprise since Hadid has been a Tommy Hilfiger loyalist for some time now. She has been spotted in uber-chic and immaculate Tommy Hilfiger sensibilities both on street as well as on the red carpet. In addition to it she is the muse behind the iconic fashion house’s latest range of perfumes. ‘The Girl’ celebrates the “free spirited” personality of Hadid and yes it’s a no brainer that she is the ambassador!

At the New York Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2017 GigiXTommy was the historical moment when fashion enthusiasts just couldn’t have enough! Hadid’s BFF and the numero uno songstress, Taylor Swift was seen in high-spirits in the front row to extend her support to the new designer on the block!

The mood was set with Calvin Harris’s ‘This is what you came for’ and then there was the strong and structured collection setting with the stage aflame! High-waisted bottoms that Hadid made her own off the ramp was evidently part of the collection. Need we say more as to how much we loved the collection, especially when the girl behind this trend walked in her own signature line! The move to incorporate high-waisted jeans came from Hadid and it is definitely a smart one considering how the popularity of high-waisted bottoms has taken on the world.

Some of the notable features from the line are cable knits, stripes, flattering bombers, striking military blazers and chunky sweaters. Gigi Hadid strutted off the ramp in leather slim-fit trouser, edgy military jacket and a white knotted top underneath that had her initials in the trademark anchor sign from Tommy Hilfiger. She polished off the look with a blue bandanna styled around her neck and barely there fresh make-up. She was also seen in a number from the iconic designer, which was a silky white shirt layered with an oversized Tommy Hilfiger logo velvet sweatshirt.
