If you are still a 2000’s girl who swears by the fashion trends of that decade, it is time to rejoice! The predecessor of today’s hugely popular athleisure trend, the Juicy Couture matching velour tracksuits are back! Yes, I am talking about those low-rise velour pants, which came with matching fitted zip-up jackets and letters emblazoned in glitters on the butt, and were mandatory in the closet of every cool ‘basic betch’ back then. Oh how we drooled at the sight of them back then!
Popularized by the celebrities for a casual-meets-chic look, the Juicy Couture tracksuits were sported by every major fashionista of the decade which speaks volumes about the influence this trend had on the fashion world. The unofficial brand ambassadors of this loungewear was the socialite Paris Hilton who had embraced these velour tracksuits as her signature look, and rocked them in every colour imaginable day in and day out. Not to forget her-then personal secretary Kim Kardashian who rocked this trend in all its glory. In fact, Kim K had recently posted a #TBT photo of her in these classy tracksuits, reminiscing over them and confessing her love for them. Now we know who won’t need to re-stock up on these tracksuits when they make a comeback!
But come July and they will be back for purchase in the Bloomingdale’s s online and offline stores as the brand has teamed up with Juicy Couture to re-launch the iconic loungewear in the form of a limited designer capsule collection termed as #TrackIsBack as a part of its Fall 2016 collection. The decision was taken, keeping in mind the athleisure trend going strong on the fashion trend scene.
You would be able to get the velour tracksuits in seven different colours which also include the original colours of black, camel, bright pink, and pale pink. The track pants would be available in slim or flared style for $88 while you can snag a hoodie or a collar jacket for $108. In the words of Lindsay Lohan, another great folloer of these tracksuits, wouldn’t this be just fetch!
