Outfit 1: Day 1 saw Kate Middleton arriving at the Taj Palace Hotel dressed immaculately in her favourite designer Alexander McQueen’s 2016 Pre-Fall collection. What drew attention was the beautiful display of paisley prints all over the rich bright hue that celebrated the spirit of the colour and culture of India. The mid-length peplum separates with a gathered neckline and three-quarter length sleeve set the right tone for fashion diplomacy! Outfit 2: The second outfit was chosen keeping in mind her itinerary of the day. Attending a game of cricket, playing with children in the park or exploring through the streets of Mumbai’s slum in the insane heat. She donned a flared Gulrukh Tunic Dress with Jaipur-motif patterns by none other than our ace designer Anita Dongre. The emollient colour scheme of the dress receives an enthusiastic nod. She completed her look with taupe wedges from Fleur Espadrille, filigree bead drop earrings and Ray-ban Wayfarers.

Outfit 3: For the Bollywood gala at the Taj Palace hotel she rooted for another of her favourite designer Jenny Packham. Packham is known for her bespoke designs and resplendent detailing. The cobalt blue gown stood out for its sequinned floral detailing and was accessorized with a colour coordinated cobalt blue handbag that is hand-embroidered in India and matching earrings from Indian jewellery designer Amrapali.

Outfit 4: The Duchess inaugurated Day 2 of her fashion diplomacy with a fit and flare wool crepe dress from New Zealand-born London designer Emilia Wickstead. The white crepe dress had a peter-pan collar detail and double-pockets. She accessorized her £1,700 Wickstead dress with Cassandra Goad Temple of Heaven earrings, blush pink suede Mulberry Bayswater clutch and Rupert Sanderson blush pink 4-inch heels. Loved the easy-breezy vibe of the look. Perfect look for summer indeed!

Outfit 5: The second outfit of Day 2 saw our modern royalty channelling identical separates of crop top and high-waist maxi skirt from Temperley London’s Spring-Summer 2016. The Delphia embroidered maxi skirt struck the right chord for its light-catching crystals and black crochet trims on the silk organza fabric. She teamed up the outfit with a Prada bag and statement earrings.

Outfit 6: On Day 3 Kate Middleton staying true to her minimalistic fashion, opted for an elaborate printed maxi dress from the British brand Glamorous. Filigree drop earring from Accessorize and a belt added finishing touch to her look. She spent the day immersing in art session and camaraderie with street children from ‘Salaam Balaak’ in Delhi. Now this is what I call practical fashion!

Outfit7: The Duchess attended lunch with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Hyderabad House, Delhi looking the epitome of elegance in a fetching jade-green midi dress from Temperley London. Outfit 8: For her Kaziranga National Park tour, the Duchess picked up an outfit from American designer Anna Sui. The flared chiffon-style maxi dress and teamed with chandeliers perfectly synchronized with the lush greenery! She impressed me with her Imperia Pied a Terre Black wedges. So chic and pragmatic!

Outfit 9: Her ninth outfit was a polka-dot Gretna style blouse by Australian brand RM Williams and Zara brown biker trousers for a tour of the Kaziranga National Park. The frill detail of the blouse accentuated its feminine appeal. She accessorized her separates with Sebago Bala boat shoes, Kiki McDonough Citrine drop earrings and Ray-ban wayfarers.
