Few years back when I attended a presentation on etiquettes by an expert and realise that how important it is to be vigilant of our own behavior. That impacts our work and business to a large extent. But again! our behavior has to look natural too. Short trainings during work and quick tips from expert’s diary can help us to improve. It can also help us to grow as an individual/team or a team leader. During a recent discussion with Sanjay Bomkarey, an etiquette expert, he outlined few important points which are worth considering. So here you go…and lean/improve on what you don’t know/already know!
Make it a point to share the MoM of the meeting within 24hrs and follow with team with assigned jobs till the task is completed, Compliment the team on the achievement and share with them the next challenging task – Team will always be highly motivated and respects each other.
Encourage Creativity :
Challenge the team with a task and ask them to come with innovative ideas, it does take time and effort but works in the befit of the organization. The possibility would be spill over of the creative thoughts might spiral a bigger and better business activities.
Don’t forget to reward.. Reward may not be any monetary benefit but as simple as a special clap to a bouquet…a chocolate…But it works…Try it today
Network Live Wire :
Easiest way to move forward in business is Word of Mouth, we are all aware, but this does not happen overnight, We need to establish and engage in our network and beyond. A call, a message and a voicemail anything works. These simple overtures will make you a Live wire among your peers , colleagues and business associates and unknowing increase your business and valuation.
Time your priorities :
Business is always about winning the best and this can happen with prioritizing and scheduling with focus. If you spend most of the business day on trivialities by end of the day you realize important and urgent tasks are not attended and business is lost. Hence it is suggested to spend 1st 10 minutes of the morning at your desk and work out the priority tasks for the day and move forward.
Learning Never Ends :
Be inquisitive to know new things and learn them steadfast. Try and implement the learning as early as possible in improvising your business, this will enhance your profits instantly and enhances the business value. New ideas afloat during talks, networks, hence it is suggested not idle your time at office but interact, meet new people share your thoughts, take their feedback – Enhance your profits and Value preposition of your organization.
