She is the one who is known for her esteemed skills and work. She has enormous fan following on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, whereby her work is being praised and loved extensively.

About Alicia Souza:

Alicia is born and brought up in Abu Dhabi. As a child, she was always inclined towards drawing. She had always been creative since her childhood.
.
However, as a child, she had no interest in pursuing art as a career and she never wanted to become an artist. After completing her tenth grade in school, the time had come to opt for a stream.
.
Alicia selected Commerce. She was good at Mathematics and in turn, she thought she would become an Accountant.
.
The direction of her life completely changed when she worked for the cover of her school magazine. Her art teacher was completely awe-struck by her work and said that she would ruin her life if she wouldn’t take up art as a profession, as Alicia was so good at it.

Her persuasion became the guiding light for her as she moved to Melbourne, Australia to complete her Graphic Designing Course.

What happened then?
.
After taking up the Graphic Designing Course in Australia, Alicia had to choose an elective in her final year. So she was quite certain that if she could do anything in the field of art, it would be illustration.
.
So she decided to move further in this direction and she developed her portfolio. In the midst of this, she worked with a newspaper. However, the work she was required to do there didn’t serve her interest.
.
So in order to endure, she worked with a bank as a teller and also continued working on her illustration.
.
She got an opportunity to work as an illustrator with the renowned design-inspired brand Chumbak. So she moved to India to work with Chumbak and was associated with them for more than a year.
.
Direction in the challenge:
.
Alicia’s illustrations had already been popular as her work was being seen through products under Chumbak’s name.
.
However, her affiliation with Chumbak came to an end and this was the most challenging phase of her life as she was all on her own then.
.
At this point, she decided to work as a freelance illustrator by setting up an e-commerce website and with the assistance of her Facebook page where she used to post about her work.

Alicia has an online store and all her products are sold online under her name. Her online store features all her illustrations in the form of mugs, home décor products, apparels, stationary and many other categories.

Alicia’s illustrations reflect quirk and vibrancy in their own unique way. Just as she is a bubbly and a happy-go-lucky person, her work expresses the same joy and exuberance.

What had been her weakness?

The biggest challenge she found was to speak confidently in front of an audience. However, she has shown notable progress in her field and has been a speaker at Tedx, The Hindu, Google and many others.
